In 1946, the Kolbe brothers started out by repairing window frames and building window sash, setting up shop in a small building that served as their mother's wash house. These humble beginnings, along with Herb and Ervin's dedication to producing premium quality windows and doors, served as the foundation for what we now proudly call the Kolbe^® brand.

Six decades have passed and Kolbe remains a family owned company, still committed to our long heritage of building the finest windows and doors available. Each window and door is built at the time the order is placed and uniquely hand-crafted to our customer's specifications. While we've adopted the best that modem technology offers in our manufacturing process, you can rest assured that each unit is still crafted with the artful skill of human hand and eye.
